Effective August 1, 2026 · Version 1.0.0
Daisycloud Software (“Daisycloud”, “we”, “us”) makes macOS and iOS applications, including macPixi, Bujetto and Screen Marker. This policy covers this website, our store, and the licensing system behind our paid apps.
Individual apps may have their own, stricter data practices — see for example the Bujetto privacy policy. Where an app-specific policy is more protective, that policy governs that app.
There are two very different things happening, and it’s worth being precise about which is which.
The applications themselves collect nothing. macPixi scans your Mac locally. The results of that scan — the files it finds, the apps you have installed, your browser history, your disk contents — are never transmitted anywhere. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no telemetry, and no “anonymous usage statistics” option, because there is nothing to opt out of.
The licensing system necessarily collects a little. A paid licence has to be issued to someone and has to know which machines it’s valid on. That requires storing a small amount of information, described in full below.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Identifies the licence owner. Required to activate, and to recover a lost key. |
| Name (if provided by the payment process) | Appears on your invoice. |
| Payment transaction reference and invoice number | Ties a licence to a purchase; needed for support and for refund or chargeback handling. |
| Order amount, currency and tax | Invoicing and accounting records. |
| Licence key and tier | The licence itself. |
We do not receive or store your card number, expiry, security code, or billing address. Those are handled entirely by Paddle.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A device identifier | Enforces the number of computers your licence covers, and lets you deactivate a machine you no longer use. |
| A device name | So you can tell your machines apart when managing activations. |
| Date last seen | Confirms an activation is still in use. |
The device identifier is specific to licensing. It is not an advertising identifier and is not used to profile you or link you across services.
Our support form collects your name, email address, which product you’re writing about, and your message, so that we can reply. If you attach a file, we receive that too. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the issue and handle any follow-up.
We set no tracking cookies, run no analytics, and embed no advertising or social pixels. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp, user agent) for security and troubleshooting. Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a request from your browser when a page loads.
Our order process is conducted by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Paddle handles the checkout, collects payment details, calculates and remits tax, and issues invoices. Paddle is an independent controller of the data it collects, under its own privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
What we receive back from Paddle is limited to what’s needed to issue and support a licence: your email address, your name where supplied, the transaction reference, and the order totals.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing. Data reaches third parties only in these situations:
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, obtain a portable copy, or object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, email support@daisycloud.us from the address associated with your licence.
One practical caveat: your licence is identified by your email address. If you ask us to erase it, we can no longer validate or support that licence, and we may still need to retain a minimal transaction record to satisfy tax law. We’ll tell you exactly what we can and can’t remove before doing anything.
Requests directed at payment or billing data should go to Paddle, who hold that data as merchant of record.
Licence data is held on servers we control, reachable only over encrypted connections. Licences are signed cryptographically. We keep the amount of personal data we store deliberately small — the most reliable protection for data is not to have collected it.
Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate legal safeguards.
If we change this policy we’ll update the effective date and version above. Material changes affecting how we handle existing customers’ data will be notified by email to licence holders.
Questions about this policy, or about data we hold: support@daisycloud.us, or via the support form.
