Effective August 1, 2026 · Version 1.0.0
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Daisycloud Software (“Daisycloud”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of our websites, our software, and any licence you purchase from us.
By downloading, installing or using our software, or by buying a licence, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree to them, don’t use the software.
When you buy a licence we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual right to install and use the software for its intended purpose, on the number of computers your tier permits.
| Tier | Computers |
|---|---|
| Single | 1 |
| Household | Up to 4 |
| Team | Up to 10 |
“Perpetual” means the version you bought keeps working. It does not entitle you to future paid major versions, should we ever release one.
You may move a licence between machines you own by deactivating one and activating another. If you replace or lose a machine and can’t deactivate it, contact support and we’ll free the seat.
A licence key found to be shared publicly or used well beyond its tier may be revoked. Where we can tell it was leaked rather than deliberately distributed, we’d rather issue you a replacement — just tell us.
Our paid software is offered with a 14-day free trial. The trial requires no payment details and is not a subscription — there is nothing to cancel, and it will never convert into a charge. It is the complete application, not a restricted edition.
The trial exists so you can find out whether the software works on your machine and does what you need before paying. Please use it. Our Refund Policy depends on it.
When the trial ends the software stops functioning until a licence is entered. Nothing it created or moved is affected.
Our order process is conducted by Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all purchases. Paddle handles payment, tax and invoicing, and its own terms apply to the transaction alongside these Terms.
Prices are shown in US dollars and may be presented in your local currency at checkout. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and added by Paddle based on your location. We may change prices at any time; the price shown at the time you buy is the price you pay.
Because every paid product is offered with a full-featured 14-day trial, purchases are final. This is set out in full, including the exceptions, in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
This clause matters more for our software than most, so we’d rather be blunt than brief.
macPixi removes files, uninstalls applications, clears caches, writes disk images and synchronises folders. It is designed conservatively: it shows you what it proposes to remove before it acts, and it moves items to the Trash rather than deleting them outright, so that mistakes can be undone.
Even so, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups. You choose what to remove, and some actions — emptying the Trash, writing a disk image to a drive, cloning one drive onto another — are destructive by nature and cannot be undone. Review what you are about to do. Do not run destructive operations on a machine without a current backup.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for data loss.
The software is licensed, not sold. Daisycloud retains all right, title and interest in it, including all intellectual property. These Terms grant you the rights in section 2 and nothing more.
Anything you create, keep or process using the software remains entirely yours. We claim no rights over it and, in the ordinary case, never see it.
We provide updates at our discretion; free updates are included with a licence. We may change, suspend or discontinue any product or service, and we may stop supporting older versions of macOS as Apple does. If we discontinue a product, licences already issued keep working on the versions they were issued for.
Licence activation requires a one-time connection to our server. After activation the software works offline. We aim to keep that service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daisycloud shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the software — even if advised such damages were possible.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the licence in question.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These Terms apply for as long as you use the software. We may terminate your licence if you materially breach them — in particular by distributing your key or circumventing activation. On termination you must stop using the software and remove it from your machines.
You may stop using the software at any time. Sections 6, 7, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll change the effective date and version above. Material changes will be notified to licence holders by email. Continuing to use the software after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms; if you don’t accept them, stop using the software.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Minnesota shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, except that consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their own country or state of residence where local law grants them that right.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
Questions about these Terms: support@daisycloud.us, or the support form.
Billing and payment questions are best directed to Paddle, the merchant of record for your purchase.
